Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, in collaboration with Abundance International Education Institute (Abundance, AIEI) from Shenzhen, China, proudly announces the successful graduation of the first cohort from the eMBA Service Excellence programme. This two-year programme saw the participation of 23 dedicated students, 15 of whom, along with their families and key AIEI administrators, travelled to Finland for a two-day graduation celebration organized by Haaga-Helia during 13-14 June 2024.
Graduation programme
To provide students with a comprehensive learning experience in Finland, a series of events were (meticulously) planned. These included expert lectures, panel discussion, and visits to prominent Finnish companies such as Finnair and Fazer. Anne-Mari Karppinen, Director of Commercial and International Services at Haaga-Helia, warmly congratulated the students on their achievements and praised the seamless cooperation with Abundance.
During the events, we were honored to host representatives from several prestigious organizations, including Business Finland, Education and Commerce Sections of the Embassy of China in Finland, the Nordic Shenzhen Chamber of Commerce in Finland, Huawei Technology Oy (Finland), and Novae DXXII Ltd. These industry leaders shared valuable insights on the business environment in Finland and the broader Nordic region, as well as experiences in overseas operations and international collaboration. Haaga-Helia’s Visiting Principal Lecturer, Joona Mäntyvaara, presented the latest research on AI-enabled customer-centric sales organizations, which was highly appreciated by the students.
Graduation ceremony on 14 June
On June 14, the eMBA students participated in Haaga-Helia’s graduation ceremony for students from all the campuses. Fifteen eMBA students proudly received graduation roses and blessing cards, marking the highlight of the two-day event. Haaga-Helia’s President, CEO Teemu Kokko expressed his hope that the graduates would become bridges for business cooperation between China and Finland in the future and leverage the advanced competence acquired during the eMBA programme for future career success. The celebrations concluded with a (joyous) graduation dinner, leaving the students with wonderful memories of Finland and great aspirations for their future careers.
